Alright, Players abused /jump to get to an unreal distance in the end (these factions hosting 15 total players atm). /jump was taken away (acknowledging exploits/abuse rule #10) making a pretty easy task close to impossible, plus to get /jump you had to donate so its already border line p2w. Seeing as no one had the chance to vote enough to get the rank with /jump, only people who donated got it, therefore making bases in the end at unreal distances making to completely psw and also not EULA compliant. There should be no argument on whether or not there should be a world border, as having no world border completely denies normal factions experience by reducing player interaction drastically, unfindable bases and being unfindable about makes them impossible to raid (which is one of the legs of factions). If this is a factions server, you want to limit the map to encourage pvp and faction clashing. It makes absolutely no sense to have a 5k overworld border and have no end or nether world border, and removing the overworld border you're just making it a complete survival server. There needs to be a conversation about what type of server this exactly is if the world borders stay the way they are right now. Not only is it unfair but it also goes completely against the factions experience.

no but more extended borders like maybe 3-5 times bigger than overworld? My base would still get deleted with this limit.

I COMPLETELY think there should be borders, it's ridiculous that you can build wherever you want. Factions is about raiding, it's not factions if it's hidden in the infinite expanse, virtually unraidable. If you want an "unraidable" base, put the time in and make some amazing defenses. I feel that if borders were to be put into place, perhaps bases out that far could be w/e'd inside the border simply to keep players happy. I want the best for this server and I feel that this would be a highly contested subject for a very long time if there were no limits. Also, I'd like to comment on something TheOGSloth said, some people used /jump to travel across massive expanses in the end over short periods of time, which was something only donators could do. Now, the command has been removed for everyone, so even if we had exact coordinates, it'd take hours upon hours to even travel there. I genuinely hope that borders are put into place in both the nether and end to create order and structure to factions, as well as a higher challenge. Have a wonderful evening, everyone.

a border also encourages creativity and strategy among factions, they have to build strong and pick the perfect location. With more clashes between factions, more interest is generated, and more fun. It's no fun if you can't find anyone. With a server as small as this, smaller borders is essential. Additionally, there's no point in having a small border on the overworld if you have infinite ones through the end and nether.
